As part of our continued approach toward promoting environmental awareness and sustainability, we partnered with the global initiative 1% for the planet as soon as we began operating. By donating 1% of Feels Botanical's annual revenue, we are working towards doing our part to help fund worthy not-for-profits dedicated to protecting and nurturing our planet. It's a small step that we believe can make a big difference in the long run.
So far, we have directed our contributions to support two remarkable charities: Surfers for Climate and Surf Aid.
Surfers for Climate is an Australian charity dedicated to turning the tide on climate change. Founded in 2019 by surfers Johnny Abegg and Belinda Baggs, the organisation aims to mobilise and empower surfers to take climate action, stop fossil fuel developments, and influence politicians. They also provide surfers with tools and ideas to reduce emissions and restore local ecosystems.
Similarly, Surf Aid's mission is to improve the health, well-being, and resilience of families living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. Their impactful work supports communities and fosters a deeper connection between surfers and the environments they cherish.
In addition to supporting these incredible organisations, Feels Botanical is committed to working with the only two distilleries in Australia that are Certified B Corporations—the only distillery in Australia to have this certification. These partnerships ensure our spirits are produced with the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit with purpose. Feels Botanicals plans to follow suit and become a Certified B Corporation, further solidifying our commitment to sustainability.
